I approach visual language as a system of relationships, rules, and conventions. Through acts of isolation, omission, repetition, and the alteration of signs, I explore how a minimal intervention can transform the way an entire system is read.
Rather than inventing a new visual language, my work reconsiders languages that are already embedded in everyday life. By making subtle interventions in familiar systems, I aim to reveal the assumptions, rules, and mechanisms of meaning that shape the ways we perceive, interpret, and navigate the world.
From a distance, the work appears as a continuous horizontal line. Only at the corner does the line leave the plane through a sequence of three-dimensional facets projecting from the wall, oscillating between two and three dimensions, between line and object.
